Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 5, 2026
The short version
- You must be 18 or older and the child's parent or guardian.
- One account per family. Keep your login and your PIN to yourself.
- Sightseed is practice help, not a school, tutor, therapist, or reading diagnosis.
- It is free while in early access. If we ever charge, you will see the price and the terms before you pay anything.
1. Who can use Sightseed
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of the child you set up. By creating an account you confirm both of those things, and that you have the legal right to make decisions for that child.
2. Your account and your PIN
You are responsible for anything that happens under your account. Keep your email, password, and parent PIN private. The PIN is a gentle barrier to keep a child from wandering into settings. It is not a lock that hides content from your own child, or from anyone else who has the device.
Do not share your login with anyone. If you think someone else has it, change your password and let us know.
3. What you can do with it
Use Sightseed to practise reading with your own children. The words and interests you type in belong to you; you give us permission to use them only to generate practice for your family.
4. What you cannot do
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise give other families access to Sightseed.
- Try to reach another family's children, words, or progress, or interfere with how the service works.
- Scrape or copy the practice content, word lists, or generated sentences in order to rebuild the service somewhere else.
- Use it for anything unlawful, or upload content that is abusive, hateful, or somebody else's private information.
- Send us another child's information without that child's parent or guardian giving permission.
5. About the practice content
Sentences and activities are produced automatically from the words and interests you supply, so they are useful examples rather than a curriculum. You are always free to skip anything that doesn't suit your family.
Sightseed is not a school, a tutor, a special-education service, or a medical or psychological assessment, and it cannot diagnose dyslexia or any other condition. If you have concerns about your child's reading, talk to their teacher or a qualified professional. Sightseed is practice on the side, not a substitute.
6. Availability, changes, and pricing
Sightseed is in early access and is free right now. Features may change: we will try to keep things stable, but we can add, adjust, or retire parts of the service. If we introduce a paid plan, we will show you the price, the billing cycle, and the cancellation terms before you are charged, and we will not charge you without you taking an action.
7. Your feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we are grateful, and we may use them without owing you anything in return.
8. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your family's data, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that puts other families at risk, and we will tell you why unless we are not permitted to.
9. Provided as-is
Sightseed is offered "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind beyond what the law does not allow us to disclaim. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise any particular reading outcome.
10. Our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rowan Collective LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or twenty-five US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Rowan Collective LLC maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and by the courts of that state.
12. Changes to these terms
We will post an updated date at the top of this page, and email the address on your account about material changes. Continuing to use Sightseed after an update means you accept it.
